A cold front, a surface trough and a strong upper disturbance are generating a
huge cloud band over the east of the continent. It now stretches from the Timor
Sea across the Northern Territory, Queensland, northeast New South Wales and the
Tasman Sea towards the South Island of New Zealand.

A mass of cold air behind the front is being driven onshore, bringing low cloud
to Tasmania, Victoria and southeast South Australia.
