IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1800UTC chart on 30 August 2015 Issued at 5:00 am EST Monday on 31 August 2015 A band of patchy cloud with a few embedded thunderstorms extends from the WA/NT border region to western parts of South Australia and is associated with a slow-moving surface trough. Patchy low cloud also remains about southwestern parts of WA in the wake of a cold front which is now slipping to the south of the Bight. Another cold front is approaching WA from the southwest. Low cloud over parts of Tasmania and southern Victoria lies within a moist southerly airstream. A deep low pressure system can be seen over the Tasman Sea well to the east of both states. The cloud band to the northeast of this low is due to a developing trough.
