A Cloud band with embedded thunderstorms extends across the central parts of the
country due to surface and upper level troughs. Thunderstorms off the northwest
coast of Western Australia are associated with a tropical low located further
northwest.

A cold front with an associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms can be
seen moving across southern Queensland and northeast New South Wales. The cold
front extends to a low pressure system located over southeast Tasmania.

Low cloud is visible along the southern coasts of the country in the cool
southwesterly airstream behind the cold front.
