Cloud from daytime heating can be seen over eastern South Australia and western New South Wales and Victoria. This is due to a surface trough that extends southward to west of Tasmania. Low cloud in the wake of this system covers the Bight and parts of southern Western Australia.
High cloud over southwest WA is associated with two weak low pressure systems off the coast, whilst jet stream cloud is streaming in over North West Cape.
Low cloud persists over northern coastal NSW and eastern parts of Queensland in the trade wind flow driven by the high to the south.
