A cold front with associated band of cloud has moved off the NSW and eastern
Victoria coast, into the Tasman Sea.

A middle level cloud band extends across central Western Australia to northern
parts of South Australia. This is associated with a jetstream in the upper
levels of the atmosphere.

Patchy low cloud can be seen over Tasmania and along the southern coastal
regions of the continent.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge apart from some low level cloud over the southeast coastal and
nearby areas of Queensland.
