A trough off the coast of northern Queensland and another in the Gulf of
Carpentaria are generating convective cloud and thunderstorms across the eastern
tropics, particularly over Cape York Peninsula and nearby areas. High level
cloud from these systems is streaming across eastern Qld.

A trough along the west coast of WA is generating a band of mainly mid to high
level cloud and covers much of the southern part of WA. Meanwhile, a moist
onshore flow is generating low level cloud along southern parts of SA, VIC, TAS
and NSW.

The remainder of the country is mainly cloud free.
