A cold front is crossing southwest parts of Western Australia with low cloud
affecting the area. Middle and high level cloud extends along the front through
the Southern Ocean and to the west of Tasmania with isolated thundestorms
southwest of Tasmania. High cloud is drifting onto Tasmania ahead of the front.
Extensive cold air convective cloud with isolated thunderstorms follows the
front over the Southern Ocean.

Patchy low cloud is over eastern Victoria and western New South Wales.

Some middle level cloud extends over the Queensland east coast north of
Townsville. Middle level cloud also extends from between Broome and Port Hedland
into the Interior of WA.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge extending across central Australia.
