Thunderstorms remain active across northern Australia and near the surface
trough over southeast Queensland, a more active cluster of storms can be seen
near the southwestern parts of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

An active area of storms and thick mid-level cloud can be seen over the
southeast of the country, being largely driven by a series of surface troughs as
well as an upper low.
