A trough over the Coral Sea and another in the Gulf of Carpentaria are
generating convective cloud and thunderstorms across the eastern tropics,
particularly over Cape York Peninsula and nearby areas. High level cloud from
these systems is streaming across eastern Qld, north of Brisbane.

A trough across the western and southwestern parts of WA is generating a band of
mainly mid to high level cloud while a moist onshore flow is generating low
level cloud along southern parts of SA, VIC and TAS.

The remainder of the country is mainly cloud free apart from areas of convective
cloud about the Top End.
