A trough extends from the Kimberley region of WA through the Gascoyne district
to southwest WA. Areas of active cloud and thunderstorms can be seen near and
east of this trough. Areas of active cloud are also seen over the western Top
End and in the east of the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Favourable upper level flow and a surface trough has generated a large area of
cloud over Victoria, Tasmania and southern New South Wales, with embedded
thunderstorms east of the trough in New South Wales. Cloud also extends north,
over northeast NSW and southern Queensland.

The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from areas of mainly low
level cloud along the coastal areas of southern WA, New South Wales and
Queensland.
