A high pressure system located over NSW extends a ridge across eastern parts of
the country. Clear skies are evident across central and northern areas of
Australia. Southeasterly winds are bringing localised patches of low cloud along
the Queensland coast.

Further south, a cold front is moving through the Victoria and Tasmania. Middle
to high level cloud is visible ahead of the front across much of southern NSW
and eastern Victoria.

In the west, a strong cold front is affecting the southwest of Western
Australia. A particularly cold air mass as depicted by the cellular cloud is
visible behind the front over the ocean. Some patchy cloud extends over southern
districts of Western Australia and South Australia due to a low pressure trough.
