Middle to high level cloud streaming across the northern and eastern parts of
the continent is associated with an upper level trough and a jetstream.
Thunderstorms are evident near a surface trough over coastal southeast
Queensland. Likewise, a surface trough of low pressure has generated
thunderstorms over western WA.

Patchy low level cloud over southeast Australia is due to the passage of a cold
front.

In the west, onshore winds have brought low cloud about the southwest coast of
Western Australia. While the high cloud streaming across the Pilbara and
Gascoyne districts of Western Australia is associated with a jetstream.
