The monsoon trough extends across the Top End to Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Gillian" near the west coast of the Peninsula district, then to Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Hadi" over the Coral Sea. Areas of thunderstorms are evident in the vicintiy of the monsoon trough, mainly about the southern Gulf of Carpentaria and Peninsula district.
Further south, a cold front and associated cloud band extends off the NSW coast further south over the Tasman Sea. Thunderstorms are embedded in the cloud band. Patchy low cloud is evident behind the front over southern Victoria and Tasmania.
Generally clear conditions across the remainder of Australia apart from some high level cloud over southern districts of Western Australia.
