Areas of cloud with some isolated convective cloud are evident over northern
half of Western Australia, Northern Territory, Gulf of Carpentaria as well as
Queensland and northeast New South Wales with thunderstorm activity in a
complex, broad low pressure area.

Middle level cloud extends from QLD over NSW and east Victoria ahead of an upper
level trough.

A cloud band ahead of a cold front can be seen near Tasmania, extending over
parts of eastern Victoria and NSW.

The southern half of WA and most parts of SA are clear due to a ridge of high
pressure extending over these areas with low level cloud further south extending
across the Bight in the wake of the cold front.
