A strong cold front and associated cloud band is moving across southern
districts of Western Australia. A cold unstable airmass is evident behind the
front with showers and isolated thunderstorms about the southwest coast.  

High pressure is dominating the southeast of the country with stable conditions.
Some fog patches and low cloud are evident about the ranges while higher level
cloud is streaming across Bass Strait and Tasmania. Southeasterly winds are
resulting in isolated light showers about the tropical Queensland coast while
freshening northwesterly winds are bringing patchy low cloud to western

Clear conditions persist through the interior and across the north of the
country apart from patchy high cloud drifting over the Pilbara.
