Shower and thunderstorm activity continues across the far northeast of the
country, particularly near a low pressure system (ex-Tropical Cyclone Owen) over
the Gulf of Carpentaria.

A cloud band stretches from South Australia across New South Wales to the Tasman
Sea. This is associated with a surface trough and an upper level disturbance.
