A strong cold front moving across Victoria and Tasmania has produced an
extensive cloud band with embedded thunderstorms. Cellular cold air clouds can
be seen behind the front.

Thick cloud wraps around a deep low pressure system centred well south of Perth,
extending another cold front northwestwards with isolated thunderstorms.

Some middle level cloud extends over far north Queensland.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge extending across central Australia.
