A broad low pressure trough lies over eastern parts of the continent and is
triggering isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly through southeast QLD, then
eastern NSW and VIC.

A second inland trough extends north/south through WA and is responsible for
triggering an extensive cloud band with embedded convective activity over
eastern parts of WA, western SA and the adjacent far southwest of the NT.

Tropical moisture and a broad trough over the NT's Top End is triggering
isolated showers and storms which is typical for this time of the year.
