An area of cloud over southern SA, Victoria and Tasmania is associated with a low pressure system over western Victoria. Isolated thunderstorms are visible over parts of Tasmania and Bass Strait.
Another area of cloud extends from northern QLD to the central NSW coast, with thunderstorms off the coast and is associated with a trough in the lower to middle levels of the atmosphere.
Some low cloud can be seen over the southwest of WA ahead of a vigorous cold front to the west.
Remaining areas of the country are mostly clear due to a strong high pressure system.
