IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0000UTC Chart Issued at 12:57 pm EDT Thursday on 21 January 2021 Convective cloud and thunderstorms are visible across the northern tropics, associated with a series of surface troughs and a Tropical Low off the northwest WA coast. A band of mid to high level cloud stretches from the Pilbara region to the southeast coast of WA with embedded thunderstorms, associated with a surface trough. Another trough extending through inland Qld and northern NSW is generating convective cloud in the region. Moist onshore flow is bringing areas of low level cloud to the southwest WA coast, northeast NSW and southeast Qld. Aside from patchy areas of mid level cloud over Tas, the remainder of the country remains cloud-free.
