A cold front is crossing the Tasman Sea as a band of thunderstorms and mid-upper
level cloud. A broad area of cool-air thunderstorm activity to the west of the
front extends over the western Tasman Sea. Further west speckled convective
cloud extends over Victoria, southern South Australia, Tasmania and adjacent
ocean areas. High cloud also extends over Tasmania thanks to an upper level jet
stream flowing north. Some patchy low cloud persists over southern parts of WA.

The rest of the country is mostly clear, save for some low-middle level cloud
over the Top End of the NT due to easterly winds carrying moisture from the Gulf
of Carpentaria.
