IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1200UTC Chart Issued at 2:12 am EDT Tuesday on 26 January 2021 Convective cloud and thunderstorms are visible across the northern tropics, associated with an active monsoon trough. A Tropical low embedded in the monsoon trough is developing in the Gulf of Carpentaria. A large mid to high level cloud band with thunderstorms stretches from the tropical north towards the southeast, associated with a series of surface troughs and an approaching cold front and low pressure complex southwest of TAS. Moist onshore flow is bringing low level cloud to southwest WA and the QLD coast.
