The monsoon trough over the Indian Ocean links to severe Tropical Cyclone
Marian, which is just off the chart, west of the area associated with mid to
upper level cloud.

A separate branch of the monsoon trough stretches over the Coral Sea. It extends
eastward from a developing Tropical Low off the Cairns coast. This low is
generating deep convection with embedded thunderstorms. Cloud is also "spilling"
southeastwards from this low over southeast QLD.

An inland trough over central WA is generating cloud across much of WA into
western SA. Meanwhile a cold front has passed over TAS and its associated with
cold pool covers TAS, the Bass Strait and southern VIC with a line of convective
