A band of high level cloud sweeps over central WA and is associated with an
upper level jet stream.

A thick cloud band with embedded showers and thunderstorms extends over the
Tasman Sea and is associated with a cold front. Speckled convective cloud can be
seen in the cold air behind the front extending over Tasmania, southern Victoria
and Southeastern SA.

Some patchy, isolated areas of lower level cloud over Cape York Peninsula and
the Gulf of Carpentaria in the easterly flow.
