A band of cloud with embedded thunderstorms extends south, east of a surface
trough, from northwestern Qld to southern NSW.

Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms also covers central and northern WA
and much of the NT.

A strong high in the Bight is maintaining a moist southerly airstream and areas
of low cloud over Tasmania, Victoria and southeast SA.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free apart from areas of middle to
high level cloud over southeast WA.
