A broad, patchy cloud band extends from the Kimberley region of WA across the
Northern Territory to the southeast of the continent and is associated with
surface and upper level troughs.

An inland trough moving across WA is associated with a thick, low to middle
level cloud band that extends through central parts of the state and the western
parts of SA.

Patchy low cloud can seen about the east coast of Queensland within a moist
southeasterly airflow. Patchy low cloud can also be seen over southeast parts of
South Australia and northern VIC associated with stable airmass under the
influence of a ridge of high pressure.
