IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart on 28 March 2017 Issued at 6:45 pm EDT Tuesday on 28 March 2017 Severe Tropical Cyclone Debbie (category 3) is now located over inland Queensland and continues to move slowly southwest, further inland. Cloud and thunderstorms associated with this system is affecting the central east coastal areas of Queensland. An active trough is producing extensive areas of thunderstorm activity across the north and northwest of the country with a weak low located off the Kimberley coast of WA. High cloud can be seen streaming across the southwest parts of WA. A cold front associated with mostly low cloud is approaching Tasmania from the west.
