A trough of low pressure is resulting in an extensive cloud band extending from the Kimberley region of Western Australia through central Australia and southern Queensland to the Tasman Sea. Isolated thunderstorms are evident within large portions of the cloud band.
Another larger area of cloud with isolated thunderstorm activity over southern WA is caused by a surface low and upper level trough, with middle level cloud streaming into South Australia.
Low level cloud along the southern coasts of South Australia and Victoria as well as Tasmania is due to the onshore winds.
