Moisture is feeding into a surface trough off the northern NSW/southeast QLD
coast with thunderstorm activity visible. This trough is being maintained by the
cold air disturbance to its west.

The large cloud band which is moving from South Australia into western parts of
Victoria and NSW is due to the passage of a cold front south of the Bight, the
cold front is weakening and slipping southeastwards.

Areas of low cloud have formed over southwest WA in an onshore airstream.

The north of the country remains dry and mostly clear.
