A surface trough lies over the western, northern and eastern parts of the
country. Isolated thunderstorms and patchy cloud are occurring in the vicinity
of the trough.

High cloud is streaming across southern NSW and over eastern Tasmania, ahead of
an upper trough.

Another upper trough is causing high level cloud over southern WA.

A cold front with associated middle to high level cloud band, is approaching
Tasmania.

The remainder of Australia is relatively clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
