Middle and high level cloud is streaming across southern districts of Western
Australia ahead of a cold front moving through the southwest of the state. A
broad low pressure trough is aligned through the interior of Western Australia
to the Eucla coast. Very hot, dry and windy conditions extend ahead of this
trough with dangerous fire weather conditions through inland parts of Western
Australia and South Australia. Conditions remain very hot across northern
Australia and the eastern interior with clear skies.

Onshore winds are resulting in patchy low cloud over mainly northern and eastern
parts of Queensland. Further south, low cloud extends over southern parts of
Victoria, southern and central NSW and Tasmania. Extensive smoke areas remain
for central and northern areas of NSW and southeast Queensland due to ongoing
bushfires.
