A cold front and associated cloud band with embedded thunderstorms has moved
into the Tasman Sea and stretches southward to a low southeast of Tasmania. A
pool of cold air is moving over southeastern Australia in the southerly flow
behind the front.

Areas of low cloud over southern parts of SA and WA, are trapped under the
temperature inversion caused by a high pressure ridge.

An area of low cloud is near the Kimberley WA, and a small area of middle level
cloud is over central east WA, however the remainder of the continent is mostly

A weakening trough with associated cloud is crossing Bight waters; and a low and
developing cold front can be seen well west of Australia.
