A high pressure ridge in the Tasman Sea is directing moist onshore winds over
southeastern Australia resulting in some low level cloud over eastern NSW and
parts of eastern Victoria. High cloud is moving over Tasmania ahead of a weak
cold front passing to the south.

A trough of low pressure off the northern NSW coast has produced an area of
middle level cloud over the Tasman Sea. An inland trough extends from northwest
to southeast Queensland with convective cloud over the interior of the state.

Showers and thunderstorms continue central parts of the NT and across the
northern Kimberley. An active line of thunderstorms extends through the interior
of the Central West to the South Coast district of WA.

A high pressure ridge extending over southern Australia is keeping southern SA,
and inland parts of Victoria and NSW mostly clear.
