A deep trough and cold front is moving east over southeastern parts of
Australia. Mid-high level cloud extends from central inland parts of WA through
SA and southeastern states. The passage of the front is generating a line of
thunderstorms which is currently moving east through Victoria. To the west of
the system milder onshore flow extends low-level clouds over western coastal
parts of SA and far southwest parts of WA.

Elsewhere an active line of thunderstorms extends along the trough lying over
western NSW and western Queensland, and afternoon thunderstorm activity has also
developed over the NT and far north of WA. Lastly, in the visible imagery, smoke
from ongoing fire activity is evident over eastern NSW and southeast Queensland.
