Widely scattered convective clouds persist over much of central Australia and
western Queensland, associated with the remnants of Ex Tropical Cyclone Tiffany
and associated troughs.

A broad band of middle and upper level jet stream cloud extends from the inland
desert region of Western Australia across South Australia then over the southern
New South Wales border region with Victoria.

Low cloud covers the southern coastal fringe of the continent and all but the
northeast corner of Tasmania in the prevailing onshore wind flow.

Scattered tropical thunderstorms persist over the north and west of the Top End,
Kimberley and Barkly regions, and Torres Strait Islands.

The rest of the country is mostly clear.
