IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart Issued at 6:37 pm EDT Saturday on 28 January 2023 A broad region of low pressure over northern Western Australia with a trough extending through South Australia is generating an extensive band of cloud and embedded thunderstorms to the north. Another trough extends from the Northern Territory to northeast SA with areas of active convective clouds. An area of thunderstorms and associated seasonal cloud is present over northern Queensland and the Top End. A trough and cold front is passing eastern Tasmania and central Victoria with a band of cloud. The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free apart from areas of low cloud along the coastal regions of Qld and New South Wales.
