A patchy widespread cloud band stretches across southeastern parts of the
country with embedded showers. Scattered low level cloud is also occurring along
the coastal regions. This is due to a cold front near Tasmania and multiple
surface troughs that extends through southern parts of the continent.

Scattered low cloud can be seen over the southwest of the continent due to the
influence of a high pressure system.

In the north, isolated showers are evident along the Queensland tropical north
coast and the Northern Territory Arnhem coast.
The remainder of the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
