Over the north of the country patchy middle level cloud extends from the
Kimberley, through the Gulf Country and down to southern Queensland on a surface
heat trough with one or two isolated storms continuing within the cloud band.

Further south, a thick cloud band associated with a cold front, is moving
through the Bight with thunderstorms on the western flank and an active line of
thunderstorms on its northern tip that connects back to an inland trough
extending over central Australia, where further showers and storms are currently
active.
Low cloud extends over the southwest of Western Australia in the cold air behind
this front.
