A cold front is currently aligned through eastern New South Wales and extends
across the Tasman Sea. A band of patchy middle level cloud stretches from
eastern NSW through the interior of Queensland, southern parts of the Northern
Territory to the northwest of Western Australia. Cold air behind the front is
depicted by the speckled cloud over southern Victoria, through Bass Strait and
across Tasmania. Meanwhile, a line of thunderstorms on the front is observed
crossing the Tasman Sea, tracking towards New Zealand.

A high pressure system to the west of Perth is directing onshore winds towards
the southern WA coastline, resulting in patchy cloud.
