A complex low moving over the southeast of the country extends a cold front
along the eastern ranges and coast. Extensive middle and high level cloud, with
occasional embedded thunderstorms, precedes this front. The low is generating
areas of low cloud over the southeastern states. A trough extending northwards
from the low is causing low level cloud across eastern QLD.

Another cold front, with an associated cloud band and embedded thunderstorms, is
moving over the southwestern corner of WA.

Low cloud is also affecting the northern tropical coast of QLD.
