Severe Tropical Cyclone Owen over the Gulf of Carpentaria and accociated primary
convective bands across the north continue to generate showers and
thunderstorms.

An elongated trough with associated showers and thunderstorms extend from
northern Western Australia across Central Australia to Victoria. A moist
northerly flow east of the trough coupled with good upper support is continuing
to generate shower and thundertorm acivity across the eastern coast of
Australia.

A low pressure system over Victoria continues to enhance shower and thunderstorm
activity in the east of Victoria and NSW.

An area of low cloud over southern South Australia is due to onshore southerly
flow. The remainder of continent remains relatively dry due to a high pressure
in the Bight.
