A patchy middle to high level cloud band extends from the interior of Western
Australia through South Australia to western New South Wales. This is generated
by an upper level disturbance.

Low level cloud can be observed in a moist onshore flow over western Tasmania,
Bass Strait and coastal NSW.

Thunderstorms are observed within middle level cloud over northern WA and the
Top End. Thunderstorms have also developed over the southern NT.

The remainder of the continent is mostly cloud-free due to high pressure ridges.
