A thick cloud band with embedded showers and thunderstorms sweeps across the
Great Australian Bight associated with a cold front that wraps into a complex
low pressure system. The leading edge of the cloud band is starting to move over
western parts of Victoria and Tasmania as it approaches.

A low pressure system sitting just off southwest WA is bringing a thick band of
middle level cloud with embedded thunderstorm activity into the South West Land
Division of the state. Some low level cloud is also evident ahead of this cloud
band. Severe Weather Warnings continue across southern WA associated with this
system.

A high pressure system off the east coast is keeping eastern and northern
Australia mostly cloud free with some patchy high cloud still present in the
southeast of the country.
