An area of middle level cloud lingers over the NSW mid-north coast. This is from
a surface trough which connects to a weakening cold front near New Zealand.
Thunderstorm activity over the sea is associated with this trough.

A strong cold front is nearing Adelaide and western Tasmania. Extensive cold and
unstable air, the "speckled" cloud, is visible west of the front stretching
south to an intense low just south of 50S.

Low cloud in the wake of the front is over southwest WA.

Cloud is also affecting parts of the QLD east coast in an onshore airstream.

Clear conditions persist through the interior and across the north of the
country.
