An upper level disturbance is generating middle to upper level cloud and areas
of vigorous thunderstorms over eastern parts of Western Australia and the
Northern Territory. The cloud band also stretches down through South Australia
and eastwards into Queensland.

Another low pressure trough over the Tasman Sea in combination with a high
pressure system east of Tasmania are maintaining a moist onshore flow over the
eastern seaboard, generating areas of low cloud.

Moist onshore flow is also generating areas of low level cloud over southern
coastal regions of Western Australia.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free.
