Unstable conditions associated with a cold front moving through southern parts
of South Australia and into western Victoria is thick high to middle level cloud
along a pre-frontal trough just ahead of the front.

Further troughs or fronts to the southwest over the sea are producing extensive
cloud with speckled cold air cumulus cloud.

A layer of lower, more stable cloud covers the southwest of Western Australia
under a high pressure ridge.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge across central Australia and into the northern Tasman Sea.
