An upper level low and associated trough is responsible for the band of cloud
extending through the eastern interior of Australia. Isolated embedded
thunderstorms are visible with this feature over the southern interior of
Queensland. Onshore winds continue to bring showers along the Queensland and
northern NSW coast and ranges. A weakening cold front is clipping southern
Tasmania with a thin line of cloud stretching west into the Bight. Clear
conditions persist through central Australia and most of Western Australia,
although high cloud is present across the Pilbara and Kimberley.
