A trough of low pressure extending from southwest WA, through the Pilbara
district and up into to the Gulf of Carpentaria is combining with a hot and
humid airmass and generating areas of isolated thunderstorms and patchy
convective cloud.

A domininant high pressure system to the south of the country is generating an
onshore south to southeasterly airstream and pushing low level cloud onto much
of the southern WA, SA, Victorian and western Tasmanian coast.

Patchy middle and upper level cloud can be seen extending over southeastern WA
and central SA as it's pulled eastwards within an upper level jetstream.
