A cold front is approaching southwest WA from the west generating a band of
cloud over the southwest corner of WA. Meanwhile, a trough extends from central
parts of the NT through central QLD to off the coast of northeast NSW and
further south into the Tasman Sea.

Near this trough, areas of cloud can be seen with some active areas with
thunderstorms persisting over central inland and southeast QLD.

The central and western parts of the country is mostly clear under the influence
of a strong high pressure apart from an area of cloud over the border region of
SA and the NT. Areas of low cloud is also present over Tasmania, Victoria and
southeast NSW.
