A trough extends from central Australia through eastern South Australia to a low
over the Great Australian Bight and is generating middle level cloud and
isolated thunderstorms. Cloud from this system also extends over western parts
of New South Wales and Victoria.

Another trough over Queensland generates middle level cloud with embedded
thunderstorms within the vicinity. Upper level cloud streaming from Northern
Territory onto QLD is due to an upper level jet.

Patches of low cloud over the east coast of Queensland and New South Wales is
due to an on shore southeast wind flow.

A surface trough to the northwest of Australia has generated broad area of cloud
and thunderstorms to the far northwest of Australia.
