A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms extends over eastern NSW from the
Tasman Sea. This is associated with a surface trough and a low pressure system
located off the NSW coast.

A cold front is approaching southwest WA with isolated showers activity embedded
in the mid level cloud associated with this front. Cold air behind the front is
generating multiple thunderstorm cells over waters southwest of WA, while
streaming high cloud ahead of this front is visible over the Bight region.

The remainder of the continent is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
