A broad area of low pressure extends across northern Australia causing isolated
thunderstorms over the inland areas of Western Australia, the Top End in
Northern Territory and the Far North Queensland.

Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms also cover much of the eastern New
South Wales and southeast Queensland and are associated with a trough. Another
trough over the Tasman Sea has generated an extensive cloud band.

The rest of the country remains mostly clear apart from some low cloud in the
Bight extending across to Tasmania and eastern Victoria.
